Diary extract. 1902 Feb. 9.

Extract from diary entry, 9 Feb. 1902 in which Bess Follansbee describes her trip to West Point to attend a cadet hop. The weekend recounted in detail, includes a description of cadets Mars, Phillips, Miller, Murphy and Douglas MacArthur with whom she danced the first two dances. MacArthur, Mars and Phillips called on her Sunday afternoon at the hotel, but had to hide when Mrs. Arthur MacArthur came to report that an officer was arriving at the hotel.
